After School at Your Library

In After School at Your Library, local artists at select library locations work with teens on a weekly basis, using creative projects to encourage and reinforce positive interactions, teach skills, and provide an outlet for artistic expression. Every participating library location has a different artist with a different specialty and project focus. Sometimes it's visual art like drawing and painting, sometimes it's film and video production, or creative movement and dance. This free program is going on now at our Almonte, Capitol Hill, Village, Southern Oaks, and Ralph Ellison libraries!

Emily Williams

I was born in the Boston area, but have lived in Oklahoma for almost 20 years. I attended Oklahoma State University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and then studied at the University of Oklahoma to get my Masters in Library and Information Studies. My husband and I adopted a retired racing greyhound who is actually super lazy. I paint pet portraits, read comic books, love hiking, and watch a lot of sci-fi television.
