Matt de la Peña is the New York Times-bestselling, Newbery Medal-winning author of six young adult novels and two picture books. In 2016, his picture book Last Stop on Market Street won the prestigious Newbery Medal. His action-packed disaster novel The Living was on last year's High School Sequoyah Masterlist. Matt will be at two of our libraries this month to talk about his life and work-- don't miss it!

Matt currently lives in Brooklyn, NY, and teaches creative writing. He travels to high schools and colleges around the country.
