Thanks to our talented IT staff and our catalog vendor we now have a working online catalog again.  There are a couple of things to know:

    1. At this time customers cannot reset their EZ password.  EZ logins and passwords will work just fine; passwords just cannot be reset for now.
    2. Any titles added by today will not show in the catalog immediately.

We truly appreciate your patience and deeply apologize for any inconvenience.

  • Strange but True, Jelly Beans have "Bean" Around Since the Civil War
Posted on: Wednesday, April 22, 2015

Go on a treasure hunt in medieval Italy and discover the wit and wisdom of Shakespeare’s leading ladies from Romeo and Juliet, The Taming of the Shrew and Much Ado about Nothing with Reduxion Theater’s Professor Spillsby in Metro Libraries this May.

Reduxion Theater presents classic literature to children with humor and excitement. The antics of Professor Spillsby keep children laughing while the treasure hunt keeps them attentive with anticipation.

Welcome to the year of Smooth Criminals, iconic protests, and the Griswold family’s Christmas to remember. It's 1989, folks! The year we stood on our desks and chanted “O Captain, My Captain!” The year we learned from Madonna to Express Ourselves! And the year we learned “If you build it they will come!”

Check out what else happened in 1989…

Pretty prose and poets mark a literary celebration in April.  National Poetry Month celebrates poets and their important place in culture with a nationwide initiative.  During this month, the Academy of American Poets sponsors a Dear Poet project,  Poem in Your Pocket Day on April 30 and Poem-a-Day and more on www.poets.org. Metro Libraries are writing their own stanzas with opportunities to experience creative expression.
