Magic Dad to Perform at Neighborhood Libraries

Each in his own way, every dad is something of a magician.

But some dads are more magical than others.

And that's the cue for Marty Ludlum, The Magic Dad, to step onto the stage.

This wand-waving magician from Frederick , OK , is bringing his special blend of mystery and fun to two Metropolitan Library System libraries. He'll be at the Wright Library on Thursday, June 8, from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. , and at the Midwest City Library the following day from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The programs are free and open to the public.

" I've always enjoyed magic," Ludlum admits. "I think I bought my first real magic trick when I was ten. I never performed any magic until I had children of my own. When they got interested in it, I went wild getting every trick I could find and performing anywhere I could."

Ludlum's shows are suitable for the entire family, offering a popular blend of comedy and magic.

" I prefer entertainment for the whole family. No offensive humor. No loud noises. No pretend injuries or fake blood. I wouldn't do anything in a show that I wouldn't do for my children's Sunday school class or their class at school."

"I loved the magic show," one fan enthused. "You have to be pretty good to keep 178 4-11 year olds entertained. Marty makes magic fun!"

"Everyone enjoys magic," Ludlum says.

Catch The Magic Dad's show at the Wright Library, 2101 Exchange, or at the Midwest City Library, 8143 E. Reno . Please pre-register at Midwest City by calling 732-4828. For more information about the performance at the Wright Library, call 235-5035.
