Holiday Ornament Workshop at Del City Library
Christmas probably has more traditions bound to it than any other holiday, and many of them date to very early times. Trees were being decorated in Bavaria and Latvia as early as 1510.
Making personal ornaments is a tradition that has fallen by the wayside in many homes, but if you want to learn how it's done, make plans to attend the Beaded Icicle Ornament Creation workshop at the Del City Library, 4509 SE 15 th , on Wednesday, December 13.
“These ornaments are made with beads and wire,” said Del City librarian Sam Weehunt, “and they make great gifts for your friends and family, and terrific keepsakes for you. We supply the materials so all you need to do is phone ahead to pre-register so we know how much to have on hand, and then show up.”
The workshop begins at 6:30 pm. and promises to be almost as much fun as the delight in your eyes as you hang your homemade decorations on the tree.
Call the Del City Library at 672-1377 to pre-register.
