Ventriloquist Gary Owen To Appear at Warr Acres Library

What's more fun than spending some time with a couple of crazy characters? How about spending time with ten of them?

And all ten of them are named Gary Owen.

Owen has been a professional ventriloquist for 30 years and he's bringing all that experience in making people laugh, as well as his nine hilarious character puppets, to the Warr Acres Library on Monday, June 26, from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. "If people aren't in a good mood when they come to one of my performances, they will be when they leave," Owen promises.

Owen has appeared on national television and on the pages of Time magazine. He's also gone on tour and worked with Vince Gil, Amy Grant, Roy Clark and Rebe McEntire, to name just a few. He frequently appears on the stages of Branson , Missouri .

"I'm excited that Warr Acres is able to bring Gary to the Metropolitan Library System," said librarian Alma Brown, who regularly incorporates puppets and puppetry into her work with children at the library.

Owen is known for his clean humor and well-polished delivery. Don Kennedy, of the Big Band Jump Radio Network complimented Owen on his "comedic timing and supremely funny material," and you've probably heard his voice dozens of times on commercials or over the sound system at Six Flags Theme Parks.

Gary Owens' VENTertainment at the Warr Acres Library, 5901 NW 63 rd , is suitable for children aged 5 and older and adults aged 105 and under-and it's free.
