Ooh la la! The cities are foreign, the angst is for real, teen romance is in the air and it’s all penned by young adult best-selling author, Stephanie Perkins.
Perkins, the creator of characters Anna, Lola and Isla, travels to OKC to meet teens at three Metro libraries March 25 & 26.
“We’re so excited to bring an internationally best-selling author to OKC. She will talk about her life and work, explain the writing and publishing process, answer questions and sign books,” said Emily Williams, Young Adult Outreach Coordinator.
Perkins’ debut novel, Anna and the French Kiss, made several lists including NPR’s Year’s Best Teen Reads in 2010 and NPRs Best Ever Teen Novels in 2012, YALSA’s Best Fiction for Young Adults in 2012 and the Georgia Peach Book Award for Teen Readers Honor in 2012. Her follow up release, Lola and the Boy Next Door, also ranked on YALSA’s Best Fiction for Young Adults in 2012 and ALA’s Rainbow Book List in 2013. Isla and the Happily Ever After, released in 2014, has been on The New York Times Best Seller List.
The author will visit the Midwest City Library, 8143 E. Reno, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 25. She will appear at the Northwest Library that evening at 6 p.m. On Thursday, March 26, at 7 p.m. she will visit the Edmond Library. A limited number of books will be given away at each visit.
