Relive the Land Run at Edmond Library

Lt. Samuel E. Adair of the Fifth Cavalry may have been the most stared-at man in the history of Oklahoma. Everybody who waited expectantly on the legal side of the line on April 22, 1889 had an eye on him to see what he’d do to announce the arrival of noon. When the moment came, The New York Times reported, “Suddenly, he is seen to motion to the soldier near him, and the next moment the cheerful strains of the recall are sounded.”

Get ready for a grab bag of musical treats when the big dogs get to howlin’.

And we mean the Rooftop Dogs Ensemble, a group of Oklahoma City-based musicians who will be bringing the sounds of classic rock, country and blues to the Belle Isle Library, 5501 N. Villa, on Saturday, April 21 at 2:00p.m. for a free concert.

The Rooftop Dogs have been playing together all around central Oklahoma since their formation in 2009. The Dogs are definitely OKC’s Best in Breed.
