When the Capitol Hill Library opened in southwest Oklahoma City in 1951, it was a state-of-the-art facility embraced by the growing community. Sixty-four years later, the Capitol Hill Library remains nestled within an expanding community and bustles with activity on a daily basis.

We can’t add more hours to the day (even if we ‘fall back’) but we can always add more gratitude. November is the month when many people focus on the things they are thankful for. We are thankful for the little things, like a new shipment of bestsellers that fulfills holds for eager readers, fall inspired cook books, digital music downloads, eBooks, craft programs, book clubs and most of all the people who walk through our doors every day. We are thankful for the big things too like a Russian concert tour from Moscow Nights, new ideas and innovations, the steady presence of our staff standing ready to serve the information needs of our community, and new and improved spaces … all supported by YOU!
