  • News Advisory:  Libraries Close for Holidays

    All libraries in the Metropolitan Library System will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Thursday Dec. 25 in observance of the holidays. Regular service hours resume on Friday, December 26.

    Libraries will also close at 6 P.M. on Wednesday, December 31 and remain closed through Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015. Regular service hours will resume on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015.

    OKLAHOMA CITY – All libraries in the Metropolitan Library System will close Dec. 24 and 25, in observance of Christmas. Although the physical libraries will be closed, customers can still use the library online, 24/7, at http://www.metrolibrary.org to find their next read, download eBooks, audiobooks, MP3s and digital magazines, or access one of the research databases. MLS libraries will reopen to normal operating hours on Wednesday, Dec. 26.
