    Welcome back to when NBC introduced the world to Friends and ER. When the town of Saugerties, New York was put on the map when it hosted the 25th anniversary of the original Woodstock Festival. And when “…momma always said life was like a box of chocolates…” That’s right, we’re back in 1994, friends! This year, the world saw the White House’s webpage go live and the Dallas Cowboys beat the Buffalo Bills to take home the Super Bowl XXVIII championship.

    The Summer of Love

    It is time for Throwback Thursday! Take a step into our time machine as we journey back to 1967, the Summer of Love.

    The Monterey Pop Festival was a kick-off for the Summer of Love. Disenfranchised by war and injustice, the flower children flocked to the banner led by the Beatle's Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Other groovy bands of the day included the Mamas and Papas, Grateful Dead, the Doors, and Jefferson Airplane.

    Welcome back to the seventies, man. As Bob Dylan sang in 1964, “Times, they are a changin’.” Fast forward to 1977 and the world suddenly has eyes for outer space; the Voyager I and II program sent probes on an interstellar mission to capture photographs of the solar system while earthbound stars KISS and David Bowie lead the Glitter Rock (or Glam Rock) revolution. For some, disco isn’t quite dead yet and for others, the mustache and plaid polyester are en vogue.
