During the equinox, the Sun crosses what we call the “celestial equator”—an imaginary extension of Earth’s equator line into space. When the Sun crosses the equator from north to south, this marks the autumnal equinox. On the equinox, day and night are roughly equal in length. This year's equinox will happen on September 22, so let's celebrate the start of Autumn!
Kits will include fun family activities, crafts, and information about autumnal equinox.
