Program Description

Event Description

Viewing some of the first images from the James Webb Space Telescope, we will see new glimpses of the world we share. We anticipate making new discoveries outside of our solar system, seeing our own solar system in new majestic ways, and raising new questions as we further explore our universe. There are “oceans of possibility.” Inspired by the images we anticipate seeing, we will create “stellar nursery” emission nebula-themed artwork with shaving cream and other supplies.

Here on Earth within our own Sun’s light there are waves that we see and waves that we feel. There are waves that let us carry information great distances as well. Using these waves we will investigate how we use these waves and the equipment on the James Webb Space Telescope to know a little bit about our world and the possibilities beyond.
