Event Description

The Black Church tradition and its music has evolved over the past 250 years. From work camp songs of the enslaved to Spirituals and Jubilee songs, from traditional hymns to freedom songs to the modern contemporary Gospel and Christian music of our times. Come and experience through performance, the history of this sacred music. Presented by Rev. Larry T. Crudup Ph.D. and performed by the Barnett Family Singers.
