Event Description

JOIN US FOR AN IN-PERSON (Socially Distanced & Outdoor) SUMMER READING PROGRAM! This event will be held on the covered ADULT PATIO at NW Library. Seven groups can attend one of two Tuesday morning times. We will do one of the activities together and then you can take the rest of the kit home with you. Registration is by FAMILY (or close friends); please indicate how many children (3 max) will be at your table. In case of inclement weather, watch your email because we may have to cancel. In that case, you would be able to pick up your kits any time that week.

Get all in a twitter and tweet a summer TALE with us as we learn about the world's smallest bird-- the hummer! You'll assemble a flower craft around a special tube that will hold its favorite breakfast, sweet sweet nectar. Hang it outside at home and watch these tiny iridescent creatures zip by to sip their supper. Then fashion your own feathered friend by using "bleeding" tissue paper to watercolor a bird's body parts and to assemble them into a fluttering fury of wings, legs, TAIL and beak. Or you can settle deep into a cozy nest of your own and Explore the World of Hummingbirds as you read the FREE book we'll include!

Be sure to check out Clay Squared, a polymer clay animal party via ZOOM (with art kit) on Thursday June 17 @ 6 PM!
