Event Description

Comics created by Oklahoma artists are varied and unique. In today's GeekCon @ Home discussion session, a panel of Oklahoma comic creators discuss what the are working on and what the future holds for independent comic creators in Oklahoma. Panelists include: Natasha Alterici (best known for the hit queer Viking fantasy "Heathen"), Jerry Bennett (Illustrator, currently drawing "Glamorella's Daughter"), Charles Martin (Creative director of Literati Press Comics & Novels and co-creator of "Glamorella's Daughter" and "We Promised Utopia"), Shelby Soto (Afro-Latina artist currently working on a scifi superhero webtoon "S. Project") along with Blue Turtle Comics (Oklahoma based comic publishing company focusing on Native American and Oklahoma themed comic books).
