Program Description

Event Description

Join us for a film screening and community discussion about one of the most cherished and controversial figures in children's literature, Maurice Sendak. The documentary "Tell Them Anything You Want" is a moving tribute to Sendak, a seminal talent whose conflicts with success and lifelong obsession with death have subtly influenced his work. After the screening, unpack what you learned in a discussion led by children's literature and film scholar, Dr. Harbour Winn.

This event is held at multiple library locations throughout Summer Reading 2019.
