Program Description

Event Description

Forky is lonely when Bonnie brings him to school, and he needs a friend! Can you help him? Join us for this hybrid program with a video + a take home kit. We'll post a link to a story about Forky for you to watch. Then you'll receive TWO pre-packaged Disney Forky kits as well as a collection of supplies so you can choose which buddy (or buddies!) to make for him. The kit will include Popsicle sticks, rubber bands, google eyes, a paper bag, a straw, toothpicks, cotton balls, yarn, construction paper, felt, pipe cleaners, a toilet paper tube, bubble wrap, buttons, a clothespin, a white plate, and a glue stick. Take a bite out of boredom and blues over Fall Break and check out Forky in Craft Buddy Day by Drew Daywalt from your local library, the Toy Story 4 video OR sample our virtual options in Hoopla Digital where you'll find Forky Asks a Question (music), Toy Story 4 (ebook), and Old Friends, New Friends (read-along ebook) -- all featuring FORKY as the star of the show!

Kits are one per FAMILY (although this kit has enough for your child AND a buddy!) Any duplicate registrations will be deleted. Kits can be picked up at Northwest Library from Wednesday October 7th through Saturday October 10th during curbside pickup hours. Due to high demand for these kits, all print outs and instructions will be posted here on the SUNDAY after the last day of pickup so that families with siblings or others who may not have had the opportunity to register can reproduce the kit at home.
