Event Description

Join us for a virtual OKC StorySLAM, co-presented by the Metropolitan Library System!

The OKC StorySLAM is a live-monthly storytelling event that has taken place in Oklahoma City since 2005. Each OKC StorySLAM has a theme, and all participants tell stories based off of the chosen theme. All stories must be true, told without notes, and must be told in 7 minutes or less.

For this virtual OKC StorySLAM, our theme is New American Voices. Join us as we celebrate, honor, and amplify the voices and stories of those who have sought a better life in America. We have invited new Americans, refugees, and immigrants to share the story of their journeys and their new lives in America.

Visit our library's Facebook page on March 28 at 7pm for this Facebook Live event.
