Program Description

Event Description

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken items with gold. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.
For this project, you'll need your own broken piece of pottery - a plate, a bowl, a mug. If you don't have one already, you can purchase one from a thrift store or Goodwill and gently break it by placing it in a pillow case and tapping it with a hammer until it is in large pieces. We'll put it back together with gold tinted resin and you'll be left with a beautiful, meaningful, unique piece of art.

Please note: the item will no longer be food safe and will need to be used for decorative purposes only.

Kits must be picked up within one week of the listed program date.
