Program Description

Event Description

Registration & Kit pick-up: April 13-19
Virtual Event: April 21 @ 4 pm

To celebrate Earth Day, join us in a Virtual Storytime and Craft using Zoom software. We will read a story about how sea turtles are affected by polluted oceans, discuss ways we can make everyday changes to reduce pollution, and complete a fun craft together. The craft will involve learning a weaving pattern called Ojo de Dios, or God's Eye. A librarian will guide you through the process of weaving yarn in a God's Eye pattern to create a woven turtle shell for a popsicle stick turtle. All supplies will be provided in the kit. If you are unable to attend the zoom meeting, a link to a helpful tutorial video will be provided in the confirmation email.

Any packets that are not picked up by 8 pm on April 19th will be made available to the waiting list.

Disclaimer(s)

We can only guarantee one kit per registration.  Please register individually to ensure that kits are appropriately distributed.  Special notes should not be used for additional registrations.
