Event Description

Looking for something to do this winter? Participate in the Downtown Library's Winter Wonderland Writing Contest!

The contest is open to everyone and will have 3 age groups for submissions. Prizes will be awarded for each age group.

Winter Wonderland Writing Contest requirements include:

Kids (ages 5-12)
-1000 word limit
-Must contain the following sentence: When I woke up, I was stuck inside a snow globe...
-Must include the 5 following words: Winter, Fort, Snowball, Jacket, Cold

Teens (ages13-17)
-1000 word limit
-Must contain the following sentence: I was sledding down the biggest slope when...
-Must include the 5 following words: Love, Freeze, Blanket, Lost, Ice

Adults (ages 18+)
-1000 word limit
-Must contain the following sentence: I was on my way home from work when the blizzard hit...
-Must include the 5 following words: Love, Freeze, Blanket, Lost, Ice

Please submit your story by January 31st. Winners will be contacted in February for prize pick up.
