DESCRIPTION:Have you heard of the Great Backyard Bird Count? Join the wor
 ld in connecting to birds – February 13-16, 2026. Spend time in your f
 avorite places watching birds, then tell us about them! In as little as 1
 5 minutes notice the birds around you. Identify them, count them, and sub
 mit them to help scientists better understand and protect birds around the
  world. Join local author Nicholas Davis for this workshop that will let 
 you leave the library with a birdhouse to start your new birdwatching hobb
 y. Space is limited.Nicholas Davis is the Commercial Underwriting Manager 
 for MidFirst Bank’s Southwest commercial markets, the Bank’s SBA depar
 tment and the Bank’s Private Banking department. He graduated from the U
 niversity of Washington in 2002 with a BA in Economics. Nicholas’ hobbie
 s are varied and include photography, working with animals, fly fishing, a
 nd writing. He is a published author, self-publishing his book The Year I
  Fell In Love With Bluebirds: Observations and Muses of a Backyard Bluebir
 der in 2023. Nicholas is considered a “citizen scientist” spending mu
 ch of his free time studying the world around him.  His deeply personal e
 xperiences with bluebirds gives him a unique perspective into the lives of
  bluebirds and other Oklahoma birds.
