About Warr Acres Library

This full-service library, a spacious and beautiful 12,500 square foot building in West Park Mall, has served the Warr Acres and west Oklahoma City communities since September 9, 1967. One of the first libraries to be incorporated into the Metropolitan Library System, Warr Acres was built with bonds issued in 1965 and with federal matching funds.

Book drop location: To the left of the entrance.

Special Programs: 
  • Play Time with stories, Family Place Workshops, Preschool Storytimes, and Evening Storytimes for children ages 0-5
  • Annual Summer Reading Program (SRP) for all ages
  • Various informational, craft, or storytelling programs and summer programs for K-6 students
  • Game night, information programs, and SRP-themed programs for Young Adults and Teens
  • Contests and special events
  • Various informational, craft, or how-to programs and book clubs for Adults
  • ESL classes held during the school year
  • Hosts the summer series "Neighborhood Arts Performances"
  • AARP and VITA provide tax assistance to customers on an annual basis
