St. Joseph's School

St. Joseph's School

Description:

This ten-room school was the main Catholic school (including high school) until the opening of Bishop McGuinness High School in 1950. The first school on this site was a wood frame building built in 1891 and replaced by this one in 1908. The school had an enrollment of about 300 at its peak and operated into the 1960s. The site was later the Murrah Federal Building in 1977 and finally the bombing memorial.
