Brief Job Description:

Under general supervision, the Audio Visual (AV) Support Technician supports complex AV systems from inception through operations at all Metropolitan Library System (MLS) locations. Supports conference room and auditorium setup and operations, presentation and/or sound system setup and operations, and video conferencing system setup and operation. Works closely with the Information Technology (IT) team for configurations and support; works with staff and guests to maximize the use of the AV systems and applications. Monitors, maintains, and supports AV operations including ensuring connectivity and maintenance and testing of equipment. Handles all AV responsibilities, including entering, escalating, and closing AV-related help desk tickets promptly.

This position is assigned to the IT Department located at the Downtown Library, 300 Park Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73102.

Summary of position:  Under general direction, performs a variety of professional librarian duties including providing information and assistance to customers of all ages; planning, scheduling, and presenting programs and/or services; performing reference, readers’ advisory services and bibliographic instruction; building relationships with community organizations; providing technology instruction; engaging in civic participation. This position will engage with a wide range of ages but the candidate will need to have a specific interest in working with our guests that are between Kindergarten and 6th grade.

They will have experience providing reference service, particularly to customer that are experiencing homelessness or searching for jobs and public services.  The candidate will be someone who had an awareness of the changing nature of the library work and the ability to move quickly from one task to another.

Summary:  Plans, leads, organizes, and controls the library's facilities maintenance, fleet, and delivery/logistics operations; oversees the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment; prepares and maintains contingency plans and takes charge of physical emergencies; actively participates in the library's safety programs; prepares the department budget; prepares strategic planning documents and directs strategic plan implementation; supervises and provides leadership and accountability to facilities maintenance staff; and may participate in the planning, administration, and coordination of major capital and renovation projects in partnership with the appropriate division and/or department.

This position will be assigned to the MLS Service Center, which is located at 300 NE 50th Street in Oklahoma City, but will serve all MLS locations.

Brief Job Description:

Hiring salary is $99,964.80 to $164,944.00 annually.  Exact compensation negotiable based on skills and experience.

Summary:  Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Community Officer (CCO) has strategic and operational responsibility for the library’s Community Services division. They direct, administer, plan, and coordinate activities related to the library’s Community Services division following policies, strategic plan(s), and annual plan(s) established by the library’s Executive and Advisory Councils and the Metropolitan Library Commission. Responsibilities include providing leadership, strategic direction, and resource stewardship for the subordinate directors who oversee the departments within the division and for succession planning and mentoring support for all division staff. The CCO is responsible for ensuring an integrated approach to the library’s community relations efforts, organizational marketing and messaging, and fundraising activities to advance the library’s strategic goals and objectives. This position is a member of the Executive and Advisory Councils.
