  • Holds will be available for pickup at the Harrah Senior Center, M-F 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. 
  • Library items can be returned to the bookdrop at the Harrah Library, the Senior Center, or any other Metropolitan Library location.

Wheatley School

Description:

West (or front) side of Wheatley School, 200 E. California. Originally built in 1898 as Webster School, it became the segregated Douglass School in 1903, then segregated Wheatley School in 1936 when Douglass moved to 610 N High. Wheatley closed in 1953 and the building was used by the school district for storage. It was demolished shortly after this photo in 1957.
