Due to the Memorial Marathon, the Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library will open at 12pm on Saturday, April 27th and at 2:30pm on Sunday, April 28th.
North entrance to the tunnel through the Salang Pass in the Hindu Kush range of Afghanistan, c 1983. The pass lies on Highway 76, called the "Road of Life" by the Soviet troops because it was the only paved road connecting the military bases in central Afghanistan with the Soviet Union.
