Description:

One of the sponsors of Oklahoma City's 4th of July parade in 1907, the storefront of the Grand Rapids Furniture Company is visible behind the 'Oklahoma'. The model "Oklahoma" was the first float in the parade at 35' in length. It was built by the Naval Recruiting Station was manned by a crew of 50 Naval seamen. The float won first prize that year.
