ONEcard

What is ONEcard?

ONEcard logo

ONEcard is a partnership between the Metropolitan Library System and area schools. Students enrolled in a ONEcard account are able to use their student IDs to access Metro Library resources. Students are automatically enrolled in ONEcard when they register to attend school, unless their parent or guardian opts them out. ONEcard accounts are exempt from overdue fines on materials, but students are responsible for lost or damaged materials.

For now, Oklahoma City Public Schools are the only districts participating in ONEcard and this does not include charter schools.

ONEcard account holders may:

  • Check out up to 10 books or audiobooks at a time (no DVDs or music CDs)
  • Use all Library online resources, including eBooks, eAudiobooks, and databases
  • Use library computers

ONEcard account holders (students) will not be issued a physical library card. Students can check out at a service desk or self-check kiosks using their student ID number and last name. They also have the option of signing in to our online catalog (on our mobile site, tap the  (Menu button) > Library Card listed below My Account).

Any child under the age of 17 who is eligible to attend school in Oklahoma County may apply for either a primary or school account.
