I’m Fast! Join the fun as a train pulling a long, heavy load races a speedy, little car across the country; through the mountains, through the desert, through a blizzard. The Little Red Train Going Down the Track

There's a little red train going down the track

Looking at the wheels go clickety clack

And the train wheels are rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling

And the train wheels are rolling, rolling right along.

There's an engine in the front and a caboose in the back

Look at those wheels go clickety clack

And the train wheels are rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling

And the train wheels are rolling, rolling right along.

The little train goes to the top of the hill,

It goes very slow but it gets there still

It gets to the stop and it goes back down

Look at the wheels go around and around

And the train wheels are rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling

And the train wheels are rolling, rolling right along.

There's a little red train going down the track

Looking at the wheels go clickety clack

And the train wheels are rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling

And the train wheels are rolling, rolling right along.

Activity

Draw rectangles on a page in line like a train and have the children color them in to match the train in Freight Train, naming the colors as you go.

Cut out various shapes such as rectangles, circles, squares, and triangles. Have children assemble them to make their own train.
