BRANCH CLOSURE:

The Harrah Library will be closed for updates from 4/13 - 5/5. 

  • Holds will be available for pickup at the Harrah Senior Center, M-F 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. 
  • Library items can be returned to the bookdrop at the Harrah Library, the Senior Center, or any other Metropolitan Library location.

1000 Origami Cranes (Second Session at 3:15 PM)

Event Description

Please register each participant individually for ONE session. This registration is for the second session at 3:15 PM. 

Read about the legend of Senbazuru in the lobby display case, then join volunteers from the Japan America Society of Oklahoma (JASO) as they demonstrate how to fold orizuru, or paper cranes. You are welcome to stay after your session to continue creating additional origami cranes OR to take home paper and instructions and bring them back. Our goal is to string together 1000 birds in flight, as a wish of peace and hope for the community!
