Event Description
Meet the true pioneer librarian who tamed the Wild West by bringing books to the prairie of Oklahoma Territory! In 1889, George and Jennie Forster came to Edmond to stake a claim and start a new life. George opened a General Store and Jennie opened a library on the porch and raised money to start a school. During this living history presentation, Jennie’s spunky adventurous life will be portrayed, through acting, props and photos, to immerse any-aged audiences, but specifically school-age and up.
