Event Description
Babysitting 101 is a two-part program designed to help teens build the skills and confidence needed to be safe, responsible babysitters. You must sign up for both sessions, May 27th AND May 28th.
In the first session, Babysitting Tips and Techniques, participants will learn the basics of caring for children, including age-appropriate activities, safety awareness, handling common situations, and how to be a reliable and professional sitter.
The second session focuses on CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification. At the end of training, participants will receive certification by the American Heart Association and will receive a card showing their certification that is good for two years.
Participants will need to bring a sack lunch on both days.
Perfect for new or aspiring babysitters, Babysitting 101 provides practical knowledge that can be used at home, in the neighborhood, or as a first step toward future childcare jobs.
