Program Description

Event Description

Owls swallow their prey whole, and their digestive systems separate flesh from bone. Later, they regurgitate compact pellets containing undigested skeleton bones. Presented in collaboration with the Museum of Osteology, experience the dissection of an owl pellet in this in person library event. Learn to identify different bones, understand skeletal structure, and discover the remarkable preservation that keeps tiny skeletons intact for scientific study.
