Insects need a safe space to live in the winter! This kit provides many elements that will allow you to build your own habitat that may attract bees, wasps, spiders, lady bugs, beetles, and many other creepy crawlies looking for a place out of the harsh weather. Bugs are an important part of ecosystems including the one in your backyard! Best for ages 7-15, this kit contains several wood pieces, a terra cotta pot, pinecones, and paper tubes. These parts should be added to a shoebox or other cardboard package at your home! Leaves, sticks, grass, and other organic elements are encouraged! This kit may attract animals that can sting, bite, or otherwise harm a human. Parental or guardian permission is needed to take the kit. Metro Library is not responsible for any injuries associated with building the kit. Please store the final product far away from houses or other areas frequently used by humans. Bugs will be happier too!
