Event Description

To celebrate Black excellence for Black History Month, we're looking at Frances Ellen Watkins Harper. Harper (September 24, 1825 – February 22, 1911) was an American abolitionist, activist, suffragist, teacher, public speaker, writer, and poet. Her poetry collection, Poems on Miscellaneous Subjects, was widely read and made her well-known as a poet.
