Event Description

To celebrate Black excellence for Black History Month, this week we're looking at Claude McKay. Festus Claudius "Claude" McKay (September 15, 1890 – May 22, 1948) was a Jamaican-American writer and poet, whose work made him an influential figure in the Harlem Renaissance. His novel, Home to Harlem, won the Harmon Gold Award for Literature, and explored Harlem nightlife.
