Program Description

Event Description

Join us at the Downtown Library for a workshop and movie screening in partnership with Fertile Ground!

Fertile Ground is an OKC worker-owned cooperative, transforming waste into community wealth by repurposing compostable and recyclable materials to protect local ecosystems, foster a circular economy, and cultivate an equitable workplace.

This event will include a screening of 2023's Common Ground, an eye-opening documentary about stewardship of the land and regenerative agricultural practices. Mingling with Fertile Ground's representatives will be included in the event, where they will share their expertise.

This event will be held in the Friends Room on the Downtown Library's 4th floor.

Metro Grows is proud to partner with Fertile Ground. To attend more of our composting workshops and gardening classes, visit metrolibrary.org.
