Event Description
Happy 250th Birthday America! Come celebrate America's founding with Metro and Ralph Ellison Library! On July 4th, 1776, the Second Continental Congress officially approved the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia. We invite you to craft with paper almost as delicate as that Declaration of Independence. Paper lanterns of various colors and sizes offer a unique challenge when it comes to painting and decorating them. You have to be delicate and patient, just like the founding fathers were when they were developing the laws that shape our nation. Get ready for a once in a lifetime Fourth of July weekend by crafting something truly unique at your library!
