Event Description
The Southern Oaks Library Fan Fiction and Fan Art contest was founded by John Hilbert. In dedication to John's work, the contest continues to recognize the remarkable talents of people in our community.
February 2, 2026 is the first day to submit entries to the Southern Oaks Library Fan Fiction and Fan Art contest. Fan Art may be any medium and contain original characters but must contain copyrighted characters as the main theme. Similar rules apply to Fan Fiction. The last day to submit your work is Friday, March 20th, 2026 at 6:00 pm.
We will display the works from March 23th to April 17th at the Southern Oaks Library. You can come by any time during this period to view the gallery. You will be able to pick up your certificate, judges' feedback, prizes, and submissions at our celebration event on April 18th at 3:00 PM. You must be present to receive a prize.
