Program Description

Event Description

Mary B. Gray was born and raised in Lawton and currently resides in Oklahoma City.  She has been writing poetry since she was a child and is coming to Northwest Library to teach us how to find our voices and express ourselves through poetry.

Her book Who Do You Think You Are? was published in 2022 by Turning Plow Press and won the 2023 Oklahoma Book Award for Poetry.

The book "is a collection focused on bringing voice to marginalized black stories. It is not simply a measure of my creative heart but also a measure of my creative ancestry!" (excerpted from Mary Gray's website).

Come find your voice at the Library with Mary!
