Program Description

Event Description

Join us for our First Amendment Heroes series with a special edition for Native American Heritage Month.  Code talkers were used in both WWI and WWII.  For many years their stories were unknown and downplayed.  Learned how Choctaw and Navajo Code Talkers went from being persecuted for using their native languages, to using them to save American and Allied lives.

First Amendment Heroes is a program focusing on how various people throughout history have used their first amendment rights to make the world a better place.

This program will have a short presentation, followed by reading a book, and a short craft. If you like this program, look for more on the second Saturday of the month.
