Event Description

Take the first steps toward uncovering your family’s past in this beginner-friendly genealogy workshop. Designed especially for Black History Month, this session introduces the tools, resources, and techniques that can help you explore African American family history—even if you’re starting with just a name or a story.

Participants will learn how to begin building a family tree using free library research tools. There will be some chromebooks available for guests to use, but you are encouraged to bring your own laptop or tablet if possible.
