Event Description
Teens ages 12-18, do you want to set up your own babysitting business? Do you have younger siblings your parents need you to watch? Then, Babysitting 101 is the program for you! Babysitters have a responsibility of caring for children and making important decisions while they are in charge. Join us for a 6-hour workshop that will prepare you to provide a safe and fun experience for them.
You will learn important babysitting skills covering topics such as infant safe sleep and shaken baby syndrome, proper handwashing after diapering, questions to ask parents, and advocating for yourself. Each participant will receive a certificate, workbook, and babysitter bag full of items to be a great childcare provider.
Registration is required and opens Saturday, October 25 @ 9:00am.
Participants should bring their own sack lunch. Afternoon snacks will be provided.
If you realize after registering that you will be unable to attend, please cancel asap so that someone on the waitlist can go in your place!
