Event Description

Got an tween or teen who wants an up close experience with live bugs? This Insect Adventure session is designed for ages 8-14. Registration is required.
 
This event will take place immeaditely after the Small Wonders Kick Off Party, with an Insect Adventure walk through for younger library guests. Please attend the best event for you. 
 
Come meet Oklahoma's only live bug petting zoo! Meet more than 25 species of living arthropods as well as a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and entertaining professional entomologist to walk you through your arthropod exploration and handling. Come hold an Emperor scorpion, pet a walkingstick, or race termites!
 
Registration is required for this event, and a parent or caregiver must remain with all children under 12. 
 
This event is part of the library's Small Wonders exhibit,  an exhibition of breathtaking beauty that allows viewers to see the hidden world of insects like they’ve never seen it before. Small Wonders aims to inspire, in an artistic way, our natural curiosity to understand the form, function, and diversity of nature.
