Program Description

Event Description

Join us for a hands-on experiment that blends science and environmental awareness. In this experiment, young scientists will investigate what happens when an oil spill occurs in a body of water and why it is so difficult to clean up.

Participants will watch how oil behaves when it meets water, discover how spills can harm wildlife, and talk about the challenges involved in protecting animal habitats.

Working individually or in small groups, students will test different cleanup methods to compare which techniques remove the most "oil" and which are safest for animals. As they test, compare, and problem-solve, kids can make predictions, jot down discoveries, and share creative ideas for keeping how planet healthy--on Earth Day and every day.

Come ready to experiment, get hands-on, and think like an environmental hero!
