Program Description

Event Description

April is the CARE Center's Child Abuse Prevention Month campaign "Paint the Town Blue." Join Ralph Ellison Library and the CARE Center in a reading of Rex Finds His Roar, a book about body safety and empowerment.

During the storytime, children will meet a lion named Rex and learn his Rules of ROARing:

R - Remember, privates are private
O - it’s OK to say no
A - Always talk about secrets
R - Raise your voice and tell someone

After the reading, caregivers can voice any questions with a CARE Center child welfare expert who will be present.
