Event Description

Learn more about one of Mexico's greatest artists, Frida Kahlo! Among her accomplishments, she was known for her self-portraits, full of emotion and symbolism. How would you represent yourself in a portrait? This kit has supplies for painting along with instructions to help you decide what symbols and concepts to include in your self-portrait. You can also expect information pointing to books and more resources in our library system! 

Kit pickup starts on Tuesday, October 14th; any unclaimed kits will be available on Tuesday, October 21 on a first-come, first-served basis. 

This kit is for adults and is written with an adult perspective. It includes brief information about events in the artist's life that inspired her art, including trauma, disability, and fertility-related loss.
