Event Description

Summerween Book Discussion
Ages 14+

Step into the shadows this Summerween as we dive into a chilling read perfect for horror lovers and thrill‑seekers alike! Join us for a laid‑back book discussion where we’ll talk twists, scares, and favorite eerie moments.

We will be discussing What We Harvest by Ann Fraistat. The farms of Hollow's End were blessed with miracle crops, especially the shimmering, iridescent wheat of Wren's family farm, but then the black mercury blight came, and the blight destroys everything: crops turned to silver-black sludge, animals sickened and blinded, even people; Wren believes she is responsible, but she finds that there is a lot they do not know about their town and its miracle crops, and that their ancestors have a lot to answer for.

But the frightful fun doesn’t stop there—bring your own horror book recommendations to share!

Come for the scares, stay for the stories… if you dare.
